Obituary of Chi Quita Debbie Minton

Oolitic – Chi Quita “Debbie” Minton, 60, of Oolitic, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015 at her home in Oolitic after a courageous battle with cancer with her husband, family and beloved dachshunds by her side. Born July 29, 1954, she was the daughter of Joseph and La Quita “Luckie” (Carter) Jennings. She married Jefferson “Jeff” Minton on July 1, 2000 and he survives. She was a graduate of Heltonville High School and former employee at Visteon. She loved cooking, canning and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was much in demand at Christmas for her special candies. Survivors include her husband, “Jeff”, of Oolitic; children, Chris Luttrell, Misty Smith and Chad Luttrell; grandchildren, Rex “Levi” Luttrell, Chloe Luttrell, Mercedez and Bentley Smith; two great grandchildren, Madisyn and Kaysen Luttrell; father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Martha Reynolds; step mother-in-law, Carolyn Minton; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Fields and Mizti Burk; a brother-in-law, Mark Minton; step-children, Jefferson “Brock”, Jacob and Landon Minton; six step-grandchildren, Jacob Minton, II, Justin Minton, Felicity Minton, Elizabeth Minton, Kaitlyn Teagarden, Makenzie Baker. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Helen Huddleston Carter; a sister, Sherene “Sherri” Bridges; a step-daughter, Kathryn Tucker and father-in-law, William “Bill” Minton. Private services are planned with burial in the Judah Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, March 15th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
