Bedford – Betty L. Miller, 82, of 127 Edgewood Drive, Bedford, died at 12:01 pm on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Garden Villa in Bedford.
Born May 12, 1925 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Marshall and Carrie (Fish) Girdley. She married Dale F. “Red” Miller on February 16, 1952 and he preceded her in death on January 19, 2008. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sports as much as her husband. She was of the Protestant faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Marilyn A. Hayes and her husband, Frank of Bedford; three grandchildren, Cathy A. Goodin and her husband, Pat, Kimberly J. Hall and her husband, Danny and J.D. Hayes all of Bedford; nine great grandchildren, Natalie Buente and her husband, Brian, Justin Goodin and his wife, Jennifer, Shannon Spires and her husband, Joey, Nathan Hall and his wife, Holly, Lauren Simpson and her husband, Brian, Baron Hall and his wife, Erica, Alex Crane, Wil Hayes, and Anna Hayes; eight great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dale; four brothers, Ralph, Paul, Kenny and Harry Girdley; one sister, Etta Marie Stalker.
Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, May 12th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Ronnie McLain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, May 11th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
