Bedford – Robert E. “Bob” Turner, 74, of Bedford, died at 3:40 am on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at the Bloomington Hospital.Born February 15, 1934 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Hershel and Panzy (Martin) Turner. He married Vicky Jolene Grimm on December 22, 1964 and she died on June 7, 1970. He married Neota Carrine in September 2006 and she survives. He lived in Fortville, IN and worked for Ford Motor Co. in Indianapolis and was a farmer until his retirement. After retirement he returned to Bedford. He was a member of the Brookside Masonic Lodge #720 F & AM and a veteran of the Korean War serving with the U.S. Air Force.Survivors include two sons, Lawrence “Lonnie” Turner and Greg Turner both of Bedford; three grandchildren, Logan, Colt and Ella Turner; his wife, Neota of New Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Vicky Jo and one sister, Marjorie.
Funeral Information
Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Saturday, March 29th at the Clearcreek Cemetery in Bloomington with Johnny Johnson officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Masonic services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday at the mortuary.
